Margo Crofford
Margo is a 20-year resident of Dallas, wife, mother to three children and co-caregiver to her father who is living with Alzheimer’s Disease. Her mother and grandmother also had Alzheimer’s so Margo’s interest in, knowledge of and involvement with caregiving goes back over 30 years.
Her mother, Margaret Bandy, co-founded Amazing Place in 1996, the first of its kind day program in Houston for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia, before she, too, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The journey of caregiving has taught Margo the importance of focusing on living in and appreciating the present. She previously worked in investor relations for Torch Energy Advisors and Thomson Financial, and art curatorship for The Royal Collections and Ackland Art Museum.
The Croffords are members of Highland Park United Methodist Church. From 2021-2023 she served on the board of AWARE Dallas which invests in local programs and research for Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.
Margo graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
